Modern Coffee Table

This modern and minimalist style coffee table was custom made for a space with great natural light and open space. The finish is multi layered with a dark walnut stain and a single white wash glaze over top, clear coated with a satin lacquer for a soft natural aesthetic. To allow the light to flow and space to feel as open as possible, the legs were designed with a tapering trapezoid shape and a half lap joint in the cross section. The edge of the table was also given a large bevel so the visual effect of the thick and sturdy top is much smaller than square sides. Coming in at 4 feet wide the table allows for great movement in and out of the couch in the living room and an excellent, functional, handmade table.
