Cookie Slab Table
Keeping this Ash cookie slab as natural as possible was the priority for this project. At over 70 years old Nature had definitely left its mark and this needed to be shown. Black epoxy was used to fill all voids on the surface, leaving the cracks structurally sound, but looking like nothing more than a shadow. A natural stain and satin lacquer topcoat were decided on for durability and a subtler sheen. The last touch on the live edge of the slab was wire brushing, which helps clean the edge but leaves a great hand feel texture.
